Im using the Thrustmaster 458 on the xbox one and was hoping to get a gear shifter, but i have no idea if it is compatible, any help is appreciated. Is that the "Spider" (no FFB) or the TX (with FFB)? If it's the TX, you can use the TH8A. It must be the shifter compatible with the wheel base, or you'd need something like DriveHub.
Having no feedback and only 240 deg of rotation makes the spider frustratingly dificult to use. You'd be much better off saving and getting a Logitech G920 or Thrustmaster TMX on special or second hand. The 458 Spider is Xbox compatible only so if you want to try PC gaming you'd have to buy somting different anyway. 4.

The 458 Spider is an Xbox only wheel. There is no official drivers or support on PC, though some report it works with an Xbox wireless adapter for the Forza (and maybe few other MS Store games). 3. YenciHB. OP • 2 yr. ago.
The software uses the WinRT (specifically Windows.Gaming.Input) API to fetch steering and other input data from the racing wheel (This is the same API that Wheel Tester uses. the reason it seems to work with only some UWP apps is this API is usually only available to UWP apps, unless you use this method. Some UWP apps also just choose not to
