TheB8 S4 motor is the same in that the chains are in the back. That said I haven't heard of a single issue yet on the B8s. The B7s seemed to be better then the B6 as they revised parts in the timing system and I am assuming that carried over to the B8. Current: 2021 SQ5. Previous: 2017 S3.
